Description

Pictures is a creative and family-friendly party game designed by Daniela & Christian Stöhr, published by PD Verlag. It’s suitable for 3–5 players (expandable to more with multiple sets) and recommended for ages 8 and up.

This clever, award-winning game (🏆 Spiel des Jahres 2020) challenges players to recreate photographs using unconventional materials — like sticks, stones, shoelaces, building blocks, or colored cubes — while others try to guess which photo you’re representing.

It’s simple to learn, quick to play, and sparks tons of laughter and creativity!

🕹️ How to Play (Brief Overview)

1. Setup

   • Place a 4x4 grid of photo cards (16 pictures) in the middle of the table.

   • Each player receives a set of materials (e.g., stones and sticks, cubes, string, etc.).

2. Gameplay

   • Each round, every player secretly draws a coordinate (e.g., B3) that corresponds to one of the 16 photos.

   • Using only their material set, players must recreate their assigned photo.

     • For example, use sticks and stones to show a shape, or colored cubes to represent parts of the image.

   • When everyone is done, all players look at the creations and guess which photo each person was trying to represent.

3. Scoring

   • Players earn points for correctly guessing others’ photos and for others correctly guessing theirs.

   • After each round, players swap materials and play again.

4. Winning the Game

   • After everyone has used all types of materials, the player with the most points wins!
